Rule No.102 - learning what you don't want to do is the next best thing to figuring out what you do want to do.

I don't want to eat tomatoes. I don't want to feel broken hearted. I don't want to cut my hair. I don't want to miss opportunities. I don't want to have TimTams alone on the balcony. I don't want to stop painting and I really don't want listen to my head anymore. 


 How do I know all this? Because I have experienced it and from there made a decision that I didn't like it, moving me closer to what I do like. I now know that I like creamy tomato soup, I like me best with long hair instead of short, I love sharing TimTams on the balcony. I want to paint, often. I will hear my head out, but will go with what my heart says. 


Most importantly, I will take each and every opportunity. This way, I keep learning what I do and don't want!

As the french proverb says"appetite comes when you are eating" then that's true for most things we did not like initially. when you never experienced something or never showed interest to something, it's easy to never like something. When I first watched Rugby, I thought i would never like the game. The more I watched games played, I started getting interested and now I do want to play Rugby.

Totally true, except when it comes to me and tomatoes!! I have tried and tried and tried, I still can't like them ;) Thank you Bahati

Okay, rules are back and what a classic one! This quote is by Harry S Truman. Rule No. 76 – Keep your old love letters. Throw away your old bank statements.

I was on a plane last night on my way home and after my original idea of having a really awesome nap after two extremely tough weeks being completely thrown aside thanks to my hard of hearing peeps behind me that thought it necessary to use their fists on the tray to make a point, and they had a LOT of points, while bashing my chair at the same time, i decided what better time to think about this rule instead. Use my time productively. Self-confidence;  a feeling of trust in one’s abilities, qualities and judgement .  Something most women have issues with in everyday life in general. Add cancer into the mix and the concoction can be devastating.   My self-confidence took a huge hit after I was diagnosed with breast  cancer at the age of 29 .
