Rule No.134 - Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions...

...Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great. Even the greatest have had to deal with these small people that Mark Twain speaks about at some stage in their lives. You can chose to listen to them or you can rise above them and prove them wrong. It is, of course, much easier said than done.  Sometimes these small people can be peeps you know well that think they are doing the right thing and helping you avoid disappointment, but they are the ones that cannot see or understand your dreams, which is really sad. Everyone has different idea's of what success is to them and sometimes it doesn't mean being rich and famous, or how many things you own. Sometimes its about the memories you make and things you experience. Either way, neither is wrong and none of us should be belittling anyone when it comes to their ambition, because its exactly that, THEIR ambition.  I'll leave you with this:  " To be beautiful me...

Rule No. 133 - The important thing is not to stop questioning; curiosity has its own reason for existing.

"...One cannot help but be in awe when contemplating the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of the mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity." - Albert Einstein There is no need for me to say any more. If I tried, I would only ruin what has already been said so beautifully. Thanks Albert.

Benevolent

benevolent   [bɪˈnɛvələnt] adj 1.  intending or showing goodwill; kindly; friendly  a benevolent smile,   a benevolent old man 2.   having or showing a tender and considerate and helpful nature; used especially of persons and their behavior Benevolent  comes from the Latin  bene  "well" and  volent  from the verb "to wish" so you can imagine that this word brings goodness with it.  Happy happy Ben. :)  xxx

Rule No 132 - Gamble everything for love, if you are a true human being.

Unfortunately this rule is a little bit too close to home for me to chat about. So instead, I found a quote by the same poet, Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi, that I am more comfortable with. “Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.”  ― Rumi

Rule No. 131 - You never want to give a man a present when you know he's feeling good. You want to do it when he's down.

Okay, so I just put the rule into search on google and got these results:  Ways to improve your relationship  'The Truth About  Men ': How to get  him  to commit  62 Things to Say to  Make  Your Husband  Feel  Great  7 Things A  Man  Only Does If  He's  Serious About  You   ... Breaking Up, Starting Over  Um, okay. Not what i was expecting. Basically, don't give your guy a present when he's down cause then you wont be able to trap him and make him marry you, wait till he's really depressed before you give him something.  For real? No, I'm gonna go with no. Let's pretend I didn't do that search. I wouldn't go as far as saying NEVER give someone a present when you know they are happy. That's a little extreme. What I would say is maybe a present is more appreciated when you don't feel on top of the world. But seriously, who doesn't like getting presents, happy or sad? Present...

Rule No. 130 - Put all your eggs in one basket and watch the basket.

Say what? That's not what I've been taught all my life. I've always had the "Don't put all your eggs in one basket" version. Hold on, wait. Yes, that's what I've been taught but come to think of it, I've done everything opposite to how I'm supposed to, so I've actually always put all my eggs in one basket. The only problem is, I never knew about the second part of that. Keeping an eye on them. Ya, missed that memo. Mark Twain, was an American author and humorist.  He wrote The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and its sequel,  Adventures of Huckleberry Finn Mark  Twain was the gentleman that said this:  Behold the fool saith, “Put not all thine eggs in the one basket” — which is but a manner of saying, “Scatter your money and your attention;” but the wise man saith, “Put all your eggs in the one basket and WATCH THAT BASKET.”   (Wow, no need to shout Mark Twain) He recons you should risk all your resources in a single venture.
